ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in Hong Kong and have always been interested in Chinese Medicine. When my father was going through cancer treatments years ago, I felt Chinese Medicine was the only thing that provided him relief and helped him endure radiation and chemotherapy. I remember his Chinese Medicine doctor showed great compassion and care, and she really inspired me. During my father’s final months and after he passed, I went through a hard time, feeling lost, addicted to sleeping pills and anti-depressants just to function. I started getting acupuncture treatments regularly and started feeling a shift inside. It was the beginning of my own healing. I soon began to examine my life’s purpose and decided I would like to help people who are in pain and suffering. I couldn’t help my father heal, but maybe I can help others – those who are battling illnesses, or their loved ones who are dealing with the emotional and physical stress of caretaking, or those who are overwhelmed by the challenges of everyday life.
I strive to help my patients view their health in a holistic way. I worked in corporate America for most of my adult life, so I know the stresses of modern living in a big city very well. Besides getting regular acupuncture and herbal treatments and being mindful of dietary choices, exercise is also very important. Also getting in touch with nature can help calm the body and mind.
Every practitioner-patient interaction (including acupuncture treatments) is an exchange of energy between two people. It’s important to find someone you feel a connection with and whose energy either complements yours or better yet, helps raise yours. It is more than just placing sterile needles in certain areas. Full participation is required on both sides to achieve optimal results. I approach each case with fresh eyes, supported by my deep technical knowledge and my passion for helping people. My greatest joy is helping each patient re-discover their own power.
Remember, your body is doing all the healing itself. I am just a guide who gives your body’s intelligence a gentle nudge to remind you what a magnificent creation you are.
In my spare time I like to do jigsaw puzzles and aerial yoga. Sometimes I paint and play the piano. My passion is traveling - I’ve been to 40+ countries and still counting. I love getting to know different cultures, especially through their food.

Neurological conditions: headaches, migraines, stroke, hemiplagia, Bell’s Palsy, insomnia

I am interested in emotional issues and mental wellness, i believe most illnesses have an underlying emotional component. Since Chinese Medicine treats the body holistically, when we treat the emotion we also treat the illness. I’ve also had success in treating fertility patients.
Q. Does acupuncture hurt?
A. The needles we use are finer than hair, you should only feel a little pinch during insertion. Once the needles are in you should not feel any pain.
Q. How many sessions will it take?
A. That really depends on the condition. If it’s an acute condition usually you will see some relief or improvement quickly. If it’s a chronic issues it will require a more treatments, ranging from a few weeks to a few months. Effects of acupuncture are cumulative so the sooner so patients who get consistent treatments will get faster results.
Q. do you take insurance?
A. I do not accept insurance at this time, but I will provide a super bill for submission to your insurance carrier.
